Ortal builds modern gas fireplaces with clean lines and a lot of glass. Most of the line is linear, from a compact 25 inch unit up to a 98 inch wall of fire, and nearly every size comes front facing, as a left or right corner, or three sided. There are also see-through and indoor-outdoor tunnels, the Space Creator room divider, traditional-style boxes, inserts for an existing masonry fireplace, and freestanding pieces that need no wall at all.
Every Ortal we sell is direct vent. The firebox is sealed, combustion air comes from outside, and the exhaust goes out through a coaxial pipe. The glass stays cool enough for a TV or wood trim nearby, with a choice of a double glass front or a micro mesh screen on most models.
The big choice is the burner. The Wilderness burner runs the flames up through a log set so it reads like a wood fire. The Signature burner is a ribbon of flame over glass, pebbles or logs for a more contemporary look. Both run on natural gas or propane and come with a remote, and most add a Wi-Fi app and a wall switch.
These are built-to-order fireplaces with a long options list, and the larger sizes have venting requirements that decide where they can go in the house. We measure, plan the vent run, and handle the install and the service afterward. Tell us about the room and we will narrow it down to the sizes and configurations that fit.
