Ortal Wilderness 25H Stand Alone
The Ortal Wilderness 25H Stand Alone is a freestanding three sided gas fireplace with a finished steel cabinet in black, red or white. It needs no wall framing, just a gas line and a vent, so it works where a built-in would mean tearing into a finished room. Ortal's Wilderness burner runs the flame up through the log set instead of along a bed in front of it, so the fire reads much closer to wood than a typical linear gas fireplace. It still has the clean steel frame and large glass Ortal is known for, and it runs on natural gas or propane.
Freestanding does not mean portable. It is a direct vent appliance that gets piped and vented like any other Ortal, and clearances to the wall behind and the floor below come from the manual. It is one of the simpler Ortal installs because there is no wall cavity to build.
