The Ortal Curve 360 is a fully round glass fireplace you can see through and walk around from any side. It is a freestanding direct vent gas fireplace meant to stand in the open, in the middle of a room or between two spaces, with glass on every side. Ortal's Signature burner is a long ribbon of flame rising from a bed of glass, pebbles or logs, which is the contemporary look most people picture when they think of a linear gas fireplace. It runs on natural gas or propane.
It is ordered with or without a flat hood above the glass and with or without a base below it, which is mostly about how you want it to meet the ceiling and the floor. Because it stands free, the gas line and vent route depend on the floor and ceiling structure, and the manual sets what is allowed, so that routing is the first thing to settle with the builder. The vent is a passive coaxial run or an Enervex power vent, depending on the route.
Input and efficiency figures are Ortal's published ratings. How much warmth you feel depends on the room, the configuration, the venting and how the fireplace is set up.
Ortal fireplaces are built to order, so the configuration, heat barrier, interior and fire bed all get chosen before it ships. We measure the space, plan the vent run, confirm the clearances against the Ortal installation manual, and handle the install and the service afterward. Compare the rest of the Ortal line or visit our Auburn, Brunswick and Yarmouth showrooms to see the burners side by side.
