Ortal Wilderness Insert IN34
The Ortal Wilderness Insert IN34 is a direct vent gas insert for an existing masonry fireplace, with Ortal's Wilderness burner that runs the flame up through the logs for a wood-fire look. It runs on natural gas or propane and vents through flexible liners run up the chimney you already have.
Every insert is finished with an outer frame, a surround, an interior panel and a log set, and all four get chosen when it is ordered. Ortal offers four frames and four surrounds, so the trim can be sized to cover the old opening cleanly. The traditional proportions and brick panel options suit a fireplace with a mantel.

Ortal inserts are built to order, so the frame, surround, interior panel and log set all get chosen before it ships. We measure the fireplace opening, inspect the chimney for the liners, confirm the clearances against the Ortal installation manual, and handle the install and the service afterward.
