Ortal Wilderness 44HH
The Ortal Wilderness 44HH is a linear direct vent gas fireplace. Ortal's Wilderness burner runs the flame up through the log set instead of along a bed in front of it, so the fire reads much closer to wood than a typical linear gas fireplace. It still has the clean steel frame and large glass Ortal is known for, and it runs on natural gas or propane.
This is the HH height version of the 44 inch Wilderness, the tallest glass in the line, closer to a square opening on the smaller widths. You can order it front facing, as a left or right corner or three sided. It comes with Ortal's double glass heat barrier, which keeps the outer glass cool enough to touch.

Input and efficiency figures are Ortal's published ratings. How much warmth you feel depends on the room, the configuration, the venting and how the fireplace is set up.
Ortal fireplaces are built to order, so the configuration, heat barrier, interior and fire bed all get chosen before it ships. We measure the space, plan the vent run, confirm the clearances against the Ortal installation manual, and handle the install and the service afterward.
