Mendota FV33i Gas Fireplace Insert FullView
A smaller fireplace doesn't have to mean a small fire. The Mendota FV33i FullView gas insert was built for smaller fireplace openings, and Mendota says it still gives you a viewing area 30% larger than comparably sized insert designs.
This is the version Mendota's website calls the FV33i Traditional. It runs from 10,000 to 31,000 BTU/hr input on natural gas, lights with electronic IPI ignition from a thermostatic remote, and comes with dual blowers as standard equipment. A four-AA battery backup runs it for about ten days in a power outage, without the blower or accent light.
What Makes the FV33i FullView Different
- Made for smaller openings. It fits fireplaces as small as 29-5/8 inches wide and 19 inches high at the front.
- More fire in view. Mendota rates its viewing area 30% larger than comparably sized insert designs.
- Remote-controlled comfort. Electronic IPI ignition works with a thermostatic remote control.
- Ready for outages. The battery backup runs the insert for about ten days on four AA batteries, without the blower or accent light.
This listing is the Mendota FV33i FullView direct vent gas fireplace insert, model AA-11-03119, sold by Mendota as the FV33i Traditional, with ratings for natural gas and propane.

Ownership & Maintenance
If the power goes out, plug the backup battery pack harness into the backup power inlet and load four fresh AA batteries. Keep spare AA batteries in the house. The manual remains the authority on operation, and we offer ongoing service for our customers.
