The Vermont Castings Stardance with IntelliFire Touch is a cast iron gas stove that's easy to run. A 4-piece split oak log set sits behind a 19 by 16-7/8 inch ceramic glass front with operable doors, and the RC400 IntelliFire Touch remote and a variable speed blower come with it.
The IntelliFire Touch system includes a battery backup so the stove can operate during a power outage, and an optional Wi-Fi module adds control from the IntelliFire app. Vermont Castings rates its input at 20,000 to 28,000 BTU/hr on natural gas and 21,000 to 25,000 BTU/hr on propane. Choose Classic Black, Majolica Brown Enamel, or Bordeaux Enamel.
This listing is the Vermont Castings Stardance Direct Vent gas stove with IntelliFire Touch ignition, offered in Classic Black (SDDVT-IFT-CB), Majolica Brown Enamel (SDDVT-IFT-BM), and Bordeaux Enamel (SDDVT-IFT-BD). Units ship set up for natural gas, and the LP conversion kit is sold separately.
Input and efficiency are Vermont Castings' ratings, not a promise of how any one room will feel. That depends on the space, the home, the installation, and how the stove is used.
The batteries are there for emergency power outages, so the stove should normally run on household power. Hearth Doctor customers get support after the sale.
