The Vermont Castings Radiance is a cast iron gas stove built around a big fire view. Its ceramic glass measures 23-7/8 by 15-3/4 inches, and behind it sits a 4-piece split oak log set on a ceramic burner. With operable doors and classic Vermont Castings lines, it looks like a traditional wood stove without the wood.
This version uses standing pilot ignition, so it needs no electricity to run. It's the simplest way to own a Radiance, and you can add a fan kit or a remote later if you want them. Vermont Castings rates its natural gas input at 25,000 to 38,000 BTU/hr. Choose Classic Black, Majolica Brown Enamel, or Bordeaux Enamel.
This listing is the Vermont Castings Radiance Direct Vent gas stove with standing pilot ignition, offered in Classic Black (RADVTCBSB), Majolica Brown Enamel (RADVTBMSB), and Bordeaux Enamel (RADVTBDSB). Units ship set up for natural gas, and the LP conversion kit is sold separately. A remote is optional, and the IntelliFire app works only with the IntelliFire version. Standing pilot models can't be sold in New York or Rhode Island; the IntelliFire version is required there.
BTU input and efficiency numbers are Vermont Castings' ratings. Actual comfort depends on the room, your home, the installation, and how you use the stove.
The standing pilot is lit by hand, and there's no standard remote on this version. Buy the Radiance from us and you get ongoing service for our customers.
Ask about the Radiance enamel colors at our Auburn, Brunswick, and Yarmouth showrooms. We'll help you choose between standing pilot and IntelliFire and plan the gas line, venting, clearances, and installation.
