Napoleon Oakville X4 Direct Vent Gas Insert
The Napoleon Oakville X4 is the large insert in the Oakville line, built for a masonry or factory-built wood fireplace with an opening of at least 24 5/8 inches high and 34 1/4 inches wide. It has a wide 27.75 by 11.69 inch view of the fire and a dual burner that lets you run the front and rear flames up and down separately. A ten piece split oak log set, the blower, the remote, and the Bluetooth control module all come in the box; you choose the decorative panels.
The X4 uses SIT Proflame 2 electronic ignition and is eFIRE enabled, so you can run it from the included remote or from your phone. The Night Light lights the logs with the burner off. It needs a 120 volt outlet inside the firebox, with a 4 AA battery backup for outages. It comes in natural gas, and a propane conversion kit is available.
What Makes the Oakville X4 Different
- Dual burner. Front and rear burners adjust on their own, so you can run a low fire or fill the firebox.
- Logs, blower, and remote included. The ten piece split oak log set, the heat circulating blower, the Proflame remote, the Bluetooth module, and the flex gas connector all ship with the insert.
- Panels set the look. Pick Newport, Old Town Red, or Westminster brick panels or the MIRRO-FLAME black porcelain reflective panel; one set is required.
- Clean face barrier. The safety barrier is designed to sit flush with the front, so it does not take away from the view.
This listing is the current Napoleon Oakville X4 (model GDIX4N-1) in natural gas with electronic ignition. Decorative panels are required and sold separately, as are the chimney liner kit and chimney top terminal; a faceplate and backerplate and birch or driftwood log kits are optional.

Ownership & Maintenance
The safety barrier comes with the insert and must be installed. The blower plugs into a receptacle on the unit and can be replaced without pulling the insert, and the battery backup takes 4 AA batteries.
