Napoleon Oakville X3 Direct Vent Gas Insert
The Napoleon Oakville X3 is a direct vent gas insert for a mid-sized masonry or factory-built wood fireplace. It has a 22.63 by 15 inch viewing area and an H-style burner under a seven piece split oak log set, and it arrives with more in the box than most inserts: the logs, the blower, the remote, and the Bluetooth control module all come with it. The only thing you have to choose before it can go in is the decorative panel set for the firebox.
The X3 uses SIT Proflame 2 electronic ignition and is eFIRE enabled, so you can run it from the included remote or from your phone. Napoleon's Night Light sits in the base and lights the logs with the fire off. It needs a 120 volt outlet inside the firebox, with a 4 AA battery backup for outages. It comes in natural gas, and a propane conversion kit is available.
What Makes the Oakville X3 Different
- Logs, blower, and remote included. The split oak log set, the heat circulating blower, the Proflame remote, and the Bluetooth module ship with the insert.
- Panels set the look. Pick Newport, Old Town Red, or Westminster brick panels or the MIRRO-FLAME black porcelain reflective panel; one set is required.
- Night Light. A built-in light under the logs gives you a glow in the evening without running the burner.
- Slide-back install. The insert slides back into the opening after the gas and liners are connected, which keeps the trim tight to the face of the fireplace.
This listing is the current Napoleon Oakville X3 (model GDIX3N-1) in natural gas with electronic ignition. Decorative panels are required and sold separately, as are the chimney liner kit and chimney top terminal; a faceplate and backerplate, birch or driftwood log kits, and a cast iron surround are optional.

Ownership & Maintenance
The safety barrier comes with the insert and must be installed. The restrictor plate ships closed and is set by the installer for your chimney, and the battery backup takes 4 AA batteries.
