Napoleon Ascent Linear 56 Direct Vent Gas Fireplace
The Napoleon Ascent Linear 56 is a clean linear fireplace that arrives ready to burn as a glass ember bed. The CRYSTALINE ember bed comes filled with topaz crushed glass, the glass door and safety barrier are on the unit, and the cement board for the wall above the opening is in the carton. From there you can leave it as a modern glass fire or add a log kit, a media kit, or decorative panels to warm up the look.
Two things to know before you order. The fireplace is pre-wired for a wall switch but does not ship with one, so a wall switch, wall thermostat, or remote control is required and sold separately. The blower is optional on this model. It's built in Ontario, Canada, and sold as a natural gas unit; a propane conversion kit is available.
What Makes the Ascent Linear 56 Different
- Glass ember bed included. Topaz crushed glass ships in the unit, so the base look is finished without buying media.
- Add logs or media if you want them. Birch, Driftwood, or Split Oak log kits and Beach Fire, Mineral Rock, Shore Fire, or Woodland media kits are optional, along with porcelain reflective or Ledgestone panels and a black finishing trim.
- Top vent, and the cement board comes with it. The non-combustible board for above the opening and the flex gas connector are in the box, and the vent runs off the top of the unit.
- On Demand ignition. Electronic intermittent pilot ignition with a continuous pilot mode and a 7-day timer gives you control over how the pilot runs.
