Napoleon Ascent 36 Direct Vent Gas Fireplace, Propane

This is the propane version of the Napoleon Ascent 36, built at the factory for propane rather than converted in the field. It's a 36 inch traditional firebox with the PHAZER log set, glowing embers, and charcoal in the carton and the standard safety barrier on the unit, so the fire is complete as delivered. You choose the ignition: electronic, or a millivolt valve with a standing pilot.

The finish is up to you. Brick panels in Old Town Red, Sandstone, or Westminster, black porcelain reflective panels, a Heritage or Zen decorative front, finishing trims, and a clean face or wrought iron surround are all optional. It vents off the top or the back with 4 inch exhaust and 7 inch intake pipe. The blower and a remote are optional. It's built in Ontario, Canada.

What Makes the Ascent 36 Propane Different

• Factory propane. The burner and valve are set up for propane at the factory, so there is no conversion kit to install.
• Electronic or millivolt. Pick On Demand electronic ignition, or a millivolt system that runs the fire from a standing pilot.
• Log set and barrier included. The PHAZER log set, embers, and the standard safety barrier come with it, so there is no required add-on to finish the firebox.
• Top or rear vent. The supplied collars let the installer run the pipe off the top or out the back; brick panels are offered for top vent installations only.

Ownership & Maintenance

The safety barrier comes with the fireplace and must be installed. The electronic model needs a 120 V connection at the fireplace and has a battery back-up holder for 4 AA batteries, not supplied. We offer ongoing service for our customers.
