Valor designed the G4 to fit existing large fireplace openings, so the fire has real presence instead of looking lost in a wide opening. Its window measures 28 by 18 inches, a 504 square inch view of the flames, and the stainless steel burner takes your choice of birch, driftwood, or traditional logs.
The 780RP is the current propane engine, rated from 14,000 to 28,000 Btu/h input. AutoFire and the Valor 10 remote come with it, though the 780R engines are not compatible with Valor 10 WiFi. It runs on battery power and doesn't need household electricity to operate as a heater. The fuel bed, liner, front, and backing plate are purchased separately.
This listing is the Valor 780RP engine, the current G4 stainless burner direct vent gas insert for propane. The fuel bed, liner, front, and backing plate are sold separately.
Input and EnerGuide numbers are Valor ratings. Real results depend on your room, the home's layout, the installation, and how you use the insert.
The optional circulating fan needs a grounded power source. We offer ongoing service for our customers.
