Mendota DXV35 Timberfire Gas Fireplace
The Mendota DXV35 Timberfire is a traditional gas fireplace for people who like their controls simple. It runs on a standing pilot with a thermopile and thermocouple safety, and a 6-piece log set fills the firebox behind non-reflective NeoCeram glass. Mendota gives it a space-saving 15-1/2 inch deep firebox with direct vent or corner vent capability, so it can go where a deeper fireplace won't.
Natural gas input runs from 21,000 to 33,000 BTU/hr and propane from 18,500 to 33,000 BTU/hr. A thermostat is available as an option. The 190 CFM dual blower system runs on 120 volt house power, and Mendota's manual lists what still works when that power goes out.
What Makes the DXV35 Timberfire Different
- Standing pilot simplicity. A standing pilot thermopile with thermocouple safety and manual spark ignition keeps the controls basic.
- Space-saving depth. The 15-1/2 inch deep firebox and corner vent capability widen your placement options.
- Outage operation, with limits. During a power outage, Mendota's manual allows one hour on, one hour off cycles. The fan needs house power and won't run.
- Clear view. Non-reflective NeoCeram glass keeps glare down so the 6-piece log set is easy to see.
