The Mendota D30 Deep Timber gas insert is a simple way to turn an unused fireplace into a gas fire that's simple to run. It's a compact direct vent insert with a fiber oak log set, so you still get the look of logs in the firebox without hauling wood or cleaning ash.
What sets the D30 apart is its standing pilot. The thermopile powers the pilot and burner, and house power is used only for the blower. A 190 CFM dual blower system moves warm air out into the room when the power is on. It fits a fireplace opening as small as 30-1/2 inches wide, 19 inches high, and 16-1/2 inches deep.
What Makes the D30 Deep Timber Different
- Standing pilot ignition. A thermocouple and thermopile run the pilot and burner, so the fire itself doesn't need house power. During an outage the manual limits use to one hour on and one hour off, and the blower won't run.
- Dual blower system. A 190 CFM dual blower system helps push warm air out of the fireplace and into the room.
- Oak log set. Mendota pairs the D30 with a fiber oak log set for a traditional log fire look.
- Sealed combustion. It's a sealed-combustion direct vent insert with Mendota's BurnGreen system, venting to the outside through its own approved vent.
