Brown enamel gives the HearthStone Castleton a warm, old-fashioned glow that fits right in with wood floors, beams, and a traditional hearth. Underneath that finish is a soapstone and cast iron stove with a firebox 19 inches wide by 17 inches deep, that takes logs up to 18 inches long.
Running it is simple. Open the primary air control for a hot fire, or turn it all the way down to hold a fire overnight. HearthStone's TruHybrid system pairs a catalyst with primary and secondary combustion, and the Castleton is EPA certified at 0.98 grams per hour.
This listing is the HearthStone Castleton TruHybrid wood stove, model 8031, in Brown Enamel (SKU 8031-4120).
Efficiency and emissions are HearthStone's certified ratings. How the stove feels in your home depends on your layout, chimney, wood, and how you run it.
Like any catalytic stove, the Castleton's combustor should be inspected from time to time and will eventually need to be replaced. If you buy your stove from us, you'll have ongoing service for our customers.
Want to see the brown enamel in person? Stop by our Auburn, Brunswick, and Yarmouth showrooms. We'll help you compare models and plan the chimney, clearances, hearth protection, and installation.
