If you like the modern look of a linear fire but don't have a huge wall to give it, the Napoleon Ascent Linear 36 is worth a close look. It's about 36 inches wide, and the glass shows a 30.75 by 16.75 inch fire over a CRYSTALINE ember bed of topaz crushed glass that sparkles as the flames move.
It comes ready to finish. The topaz crushed glass, the safety barrier, and the non-combustible material are all included, so log kits are an option rather than a must. It runs on natural gas with electronic ignition and a SIT Proflame II system, and a battery back-up control system.
What Makes the Ascent Linear 36 Different
- Complete out of the box. Topaz crushed glass, the safety barrier, and non-combustible finishing material are included, so the basic fireplace is ready to finish without add-ons.
- Glass ember bed, logs optional. The CRYSTALINE ember bed gives a clean, contemporary fire. If you'd rather see logs, log kits are available as an option.
- Battery back-up control. Napoleon says that with batteries in the receiver you can still turn the fire on and off and adjust flame height during a power failure.
- Easy to dress up later. The blower, eFIRE remote, reflective porcelain panels, and a power vent adaptor are all optional, so you can add what you want now or later.
