Forge & Flame Intrepid Flexburn Wood Stove, crafted with Vermont Castings Finish

Finish

The Vermont Castings Intrepid Flexburn gives you a real choice in how it burns. Burn it as a clean non-catalytic stove, or add the optional Catalytic Performance Pack later for even lower emissions. Either way, it's certified to the EPA 2020 standard.

Day to day, it's easy to live with. Load from the top to keep smoke and ash contained, let thermostatic combustion control keep the heat more even, and empty ashes with the swing-out ash pan, even while the stove is hot. The 1.31 cubic foot firebox takes 14 inch logs. Choose Classic Black with Traditional or Transition doors, or Twilight, Majolica Brown, or Bordeaux enamel.

What Makes the Intrepid Flexburn Different

  • Catalyst optional. Run it without a catalyst, or add the Catalytic Performance Pack to drop certified emissions from 0.6 to 0.3 g/hr.
  • Top loading. Load wood from the top to keep smoke and ash in the stove and fit a fuller load.
  • Swing-out ash pan. Remove ashes cleanly, even when the stove is hot.
  • Top or rear venting. A reversible flue collar gives more options for connecting to your chimney.

This listing is the Vermont Castings Intrepid Flexburn wood stove, offered in Classic Black with Transition doors (0002115T) or Traditional doors (0002115), and with Traditional doors in Twilight Enamel (0002119), Majolica Brown Enamel (0002117), and Bordeaux Enamel (0002118). The catalyst is optional and sold separately.
