The Valor PE2 is a compact electric fireplace that goes either into an existing fireplace opening as an insert or into a new wall as a zero clearance unit. The engine is only 10 inches deep, which is what makes it fit places a gas insert cannot. It plugs into household power and needs no vent or gas line.
The fire is an LCD flame over a bed of birch logs or coals, with nine ambient light settings. The heater is rated at 1,400 watts on a standard 120 volt circuit or 2,800 watts on 240 volts, and the flame runs with or without heat. It wears the same style of fronts as Valor's gas inserts: the three sided Clearview in vintage iron, the four sided Ledgeview in pewter, the Richmond cast front, the President front or the Windsor Arch, with backing plates sized to the opening. Control is by the Thermocontrol remote, the C and J Smart app or the controls on the engine itself.
Heater ratings are Valor's. An electric fireplace is supplemental heat and will not replace a furnace or a gas fireplace.
We measure the opening, pick the front and backing plate that cover it, and handle the circuit and the install. Compare other electric inserts and the rest of the Valor line, or visit our Auburn, Brunswick and Yarmouth showrooms.
