Regency GFI55-2 Greenfire Pellet Insert

The Regency Greenfire GFi55 turns an existing fireplace into a pellet heater, so you get steady heat without carrying firewood through the house. The hopper holds 55 pounds of pellets, and a 160 cfm variable-speed blower moves warm air into the room.

It's built to adapt. If your fireplace opening is on the short side, the hopper can be adjusted down to fit, holding 42 pounds in that setup. It vents through pellet vent pipe run up the chimney, with the pipe size set by the length of the run. Regency rates its heat output at 7,751 to 32,739 BTU/hr.

What Makes the Greenfire GFi55 Different

  • Adjustable hopper. Holds 55 pounds, or 42 pounds when adjusted to fit a lower fireplace opening.
  • Variable-speed blower. A 160 cfm blower pushes heat out of the fireplace.
  • Wide output range. Regency rates it from 7,751 to 32,739 BTU/hr.

This listing is the current GFI55-2 version.

Key Specifications

  • Minimum fireplace opening: 22 3/4 in high x 26 in wide x 15 in deep with the standard hopper (19 1/2 in high with the hopper adjusted). See the manual for every minimum.

  • Heat output (manufacturer): 7,751 to 32,739 BTU/hr
  • Convection blower: 160 cfm, variable speed

Heat output figures are Regency's ratings, not a promise for your house. Your fireplace, venting, layout, and insulation all make a difference.

Ownership & Maintenance

Like other pellet appliances, it needs household power to run.

Whether a pellet insert fits comes down to your fireplace, so we measure first. Compare more pellet inserts or visit our Auburn, Brunswick, and Yarmouth showrooms to plan the venting and installation.
