The HearthStone Meteor is a 38 inch cast iron fire pit that sits low to the ground, so everyone can pull up a chair around the fire. HearthStone Outdoor builds it from European cast iron, with a cast iron bowl and base finished in a high-temperature coating.

Burn wood or charcoal. An included cast iron fire grate lifts the fire up in the bowl and lets air flow up from below, which HearthStone calls LoSmoke airflow. The Meteor also comes with a stainless steel cover, and if you want to cook, you can add grill rings, griddle rings, or soapstone grill stones.

What Makes the Meteor Different

• European cast iron. The bowl and base are both cast iron with a high-temperature coating.
• LoSmoke fire grate. The raised grate feeds air up through the fire, helping it burn strong through the evening.
