Valor L1 Linear Gas Fireplace, Natural Gas

The Valor L1 gives you a long, clean, widescreen fire that suits a modern room. Valor designed it to enhance flame depth without giving up efficiency, and in Valor's words the L1 "emits radiant warmth where you want it, when you want it." The glass opening runs 40 inches wide by 14-1/2 inches tall.

This listing is the natural gas engine. Like every Valor gas fireplace, it runs on batteries as its main power source, so it keeps working as a heater without household electricity. You finish it your way with a fuel bed, a liner, and a front, and the included Valor 10 remote has a thermostatic mode that adjusts the flame to hold your set temperature.

What Makes the Valor L1 Different

  • Battery power comes first. Valor gas fireplaces run on four AA batteries as their main power source, not as a backup. The L1 works as a heater with no household electricity. Power is only needed for add-ons like the fan kit, HeatSplit, or the WiFi kit.
  • HeatShift, Valor's fanless convection system. HeatShift moves warm air away from the fireplace opening through hidden ducts, using natural convection instead of a fan. Valor recommends it where nearby walls need to stay cooler, and it's required with the 1530CIK clean install front.
  • A remote that watches the temperature. The included Valor 10 remote has a thermostatic mode. It measures the room and adjusts the flame height to hold the temperature you set.
  • Build your own look. Pick from birch, driftwood, splitwood, rock and shale, or Murano glass, then choose a fluted black, reflective glass, or plain black liner and a front to finish it.

This listing is the Valor 1500KN L1 Linear engine for natural gas. The fuel bed, liner, and front are ordered separately.

Ownership & Maintenance

Valor gas fireplaces use four AA batteries as their main power source, so keep a spare set on hand and swap them when the remote or fireplace asks. Hearth Doctor customers get support after the sale.
