The Mendota FV34 Décor/Timberline lets you decide what kind of fire you want to look at. Go Timberline and the flame comes up through hand-painted logs for a traditional wood-fire look. Go Décor and it rises through contemporary media like rocks, glass, or marble for something cleaner and more modern.

Either way it's a direct vent gas fireplace with electronic ignition and a thermostatic remote, so lighting it and holding a comfortable setting is easy. The 32 5/8 by 23 inch viewing area keeps the fire the center of attention.

What Makes the FV34 Décor/Timberline Different

• Logs or modern media. Timberline puts the burner under the logs for a traditional fire. Décor puts it under the media for a modern look.
• Remote-controlled comfort. Electronic ignition works with a thermostatic remote, so you can start the fire and set it from your chair.
• Venting options. It vents direct through 4 in by 6-5/8 in co-axial pipe, and an approved power vent is allowed when a standard run won't work.
