The Mendota DXV45 Deep Timber 4 LX is a traditional gas fireplace built around the look of a real wood fire. A 10-piece fiber log set with Real-Glow effects and a real ember bed fills the firebox, and at the push of a button you can run it as a full, lively fire or turn it down to a low, glowing one.
This version uses IPI electronic ignition with a thermostatic remote that has Smart Thermostat Mode. Input runs from 13,000 to 45,000 BTU/hr on natural gas and 12,500 to 40,000 on propane, which gives you a lot of room to set the fire the way you like it. With high-capacity 6-volt batteries, Mendota's manual allows it to run on battery power during an outage.
