Mendota DXV35 Deep Timber 4 LX Gas Fireplace
The Mendota DXV35 Deep Timber 4 LX gives you a traditional, log-filled gas fire in a fireplace that doesn't need much depth. Mendota builds it with a space-saving 15-1/2 inch deep firebox and direct vent or corner vent capability, which opens up spots where a deeper unit won't fit. A 9-piece log set with a glowing ember bed sits behind non-reflective NeoCeram glass, so you see the fire instead of your own reflection.
This is the electronic ignition version of the DXV35. It lights with IPI and runs from a thermostatic remote with Smart Thermostat Mode. Natural gas input runs from 10,000 to 33,000 BTU/hr, so you can turn the fire way down for a quiet evening or run it full.
What Makes the DXV35 Deep Timber 4 LX Different
- Fits where depth is tight. The 15-1/2 inch deep firebox and corner vent capability give you more placement options than a deeper fireplace.
- Remote and thermostat control. IPI electronic ignition lights the fire from the thermostatic remote, which also has a Smart Thermostat Mode.
- Battery backup. Mendota's manual allows it to run on DC battery power during an outage with high-capacity 6-volt batteries. The blower and accent light won't run until the power's back.
- A clear look at the fire. Non-reflective NeoCeram glass and a 9-piece log set with an ember bed keep the attention on the flames.
- Power vent option. Along with coaxial direct venting, Mendota allows an approved power vent on this model.

Ownership & Maintenance
In cold winter weather, Mendota's manual calls for turning on Continuous Pilot Mode (CPI) so the pilot stays lit. Unless the fireplace is raised 6 inches or more off the floor, Mendota requires a hearth pad rated at least R-1. We provide ongoing service for our customers after the install.
