The HearthStone Waitsfield gives you both, with glass on three sides and a choice of Matte Black, Brown Enamel, or Basil Enamel. It lights with the push of a button, and it's a direct vent gas stove that runs on natural gas or propane, with the LP conversion kit included.

This is model 8771. It uses the SIT 821 ignition system with a 7-day timeout and a steel pan burner, and HearthStone rates its natural gas input from 17,500 to 32,500 BTU/hr. The blower and remote are optional, so you can start simple and add them if you'd like more air movement or easier control.

What Makes the Waitsfield Different

Fire on three sides. The three-sided glass lets the flames show from the sides as well as the front.

Push-button lighting. Starting a fire is as easy as pressing a button, with no matches or kindling.

7-day timeout. The SIT 821 system includes a 7-day timeout, which helps keep gas from being used when the stove sits unused.

Options when you want them. Add the optional blower or remote now or later to fit the way you use the stove.

This listing is the HearthStone Waitsfield direct vent gas stove, model 8771, in Matte Black (8771-0010), Brown Enamel (8771-0020), or Basil Enamel (8771-0083).

Key Specifications

Natural gas input: 17,500 to 32,500 BTU/hr

Propane input: 18,500 to 33,000 BTU/hr

Ignition: Push-button, SIT 821 with 7-day timeout

Venting: 4 in x 6-5/8 in direct vent, top

Blower: Optional (kit 93-57100), 120V with three-prong plug

Remote: Optional

Burner: Steel pan burner

Fireplace efficiency (CSA P.4.1-09): 66.5% NG, 67.5% LP

LP conversion kit: Included

Mobile home approved: Yes

HearthStone publishes these input and efficiency figures.
